well maybe just Max, Anna and myself šŸ˜‰ Well back to work, many more customs to do as well as a new Eyezon collab cooking, plus I’ll see folks in Miami in December for the Kaiju Invasion show … and looking forward to 2009, something special in March for Japan šŸ˜‰ Pretty simple actually, no focus groups involved.

I do not consider the marketability of the figure, but rather would it be something i would like to add to my collection.

We previewed this figure at StrangeCo’s booth at SDCC as well as Summer Wonderfest in Japan, and thankfully the response has been very positive šŸ˜‰ Someone asked me how I decide what kind of figure to do, and the answer is I make what i like.

The one that looks dark with gold is an interesting thing I tried, I gold leafed the figure with 24k gold leaf ! I suppose in these days something that will go up in value (ha-ha)…OH and the name, folks are confused, well me too, but the name has to do with Cronic, as the ā€œasuā€ part is added to his creations as a nod to his wife…so TriPasu was the resulting name.Ä«elow is the upcoming full sized Kaiju TriPus figure we have coming very soon šŸ˜‰ These were fun to do and about 3 are left via the Max Toy web store. Anyways with my short attention span for painting the same thing x50 pieces, I took about 15 of them and made a unique paint to each, blind bagged them ( meaning there each in a foil bag that you can see thru ) and have offered them up for sale. While I’m not one of those collectors I do like what he came up with. I supplied Cronic a sketch of my upcoming kaiju called TriPus, and he re-imagined the character in the fighting form that is popular today with the young kaiju collectors out there. For those not up to speed, Tripasu is a joint creation by myself and Cronic of Japan. My latest Max Toy Company toy offer is this group of custom painted Tripasu. Oh ya, and that new 1/6 scale figure of Buck Rogers. amazing ! If you want one, go on over to and pre-order one today !It’s on it’s way to be sold out so don’t delay. Thank goodness nothing has been replaced by plastic or some sort of cheaper replacement. The additional metal figure and medallion just makes it all a class act product.

the pop is there, the spark window flashes ! The wood box with cardboard sleeve with art from the original version box is a great touch. Re-create a classic toy gun from the 1930’s but ever so subtly actually brought it into the modern age ( I guess a oxymoron since Buck Rogers is in the future ? ) The gold is electro-plated and looks stunning ! I’m waiting for my own copy to fondle, but the preview one I handled at Comic Con was awesome. Well after much hard work, Steve secured the proper licenses and various tweaks to the original design, I was greeted by this stunning image. as I know there are those who would take advantage of newbie ray gun collectors. Whoa ! Seriously?!! quick answer is Yes ! Long answer is you’d better do it right and on top of that you’d better not do it so right that folks would mistake it from a vintage version. It was about a year ago that we were talking and Steve knowing my collecting obsession for Ray Guns asked me what i would think about a re-issue of the classic Buck Rogers Disintegrator gun. I’ve been following Steve’s creations for many years now and marveled at his creative output and varied projects. I’m very jealous today … why ? Well I just got this stunning picture from the multi talented Steve Forde.
